Born in Basel in May 1963, today Zurich is my home.
After high school, everything began to be about technology and the spiritual: training as an electronic engineer and beginning as a journalist for local radio. Later editor and moderator of national radio (DRS3 and DRS1).
For more than 20 years, my intellectual and technical interests have been combined in my work as a director, dramaturge, and producer. The trust placed in me by my customers allowed me to keep developing myself over the last decades and to grow deeper and deeper with the manifold tasks.
In the moment is what counts. And so live became the motto of my directorial work. Because whether at an event or on TV: people want to be thrilled and swept away! Every detail counts – timing, processes, dramaturgy, technology – only then is the evening, the programme, the event a success. Quick decisions and intellectual improvisation – that is purposeful action.
And this goes for leisure time as well: being active in sports. I play tennis, squash, and ski. As a spectator, I’m fascinated by the best performances in top-level sports. I treat myself to something good when on holiday: books for the mind and culinary dishes for the soul.
In summer 2012, I started a family. We have a daughter. Family life enriches me and gives my work new impulses and inspiration.
